New Executive Staff Joins Wilshire Health and Community Services

NEW LEADERSHIP JOINS WILSHIRE AS IT CONTINUES TO
INNOVATE & GROW HEALTHCARE ON THE CENTRAL COAST


Wilshire Health and Community Services is proud to announce and welcome Ron Yukelson as its Chief Operations & Strategy Officer. Ron’s role will include operations oversight and the implementation and facilitation of new strategic business initiatives across Wilshire’s agencies including: Wilshire Hospice, Wilshire Home Health, Wilshire Business Partners, Wilshire Community Services, and Wilshire Connected Care. Wilshire’s President/CEO, Tricia Ritchie, shares how as a new leader on the executive team, “Ron’s wealth of experience and skills will strengthen Wilshire Health and Community Service’s objectives, enhance the programs and services, and help us continue our mission-based care on the Central Coast.”

Ron joins the Wilshire team with over 30 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership; 13 of those years previously on the Central Coast as the Senior Director of Administrative Services at Dignity Health and the Chief Strategy Officer for Tenet Healthcare. His professional expertise includes business operations, strategic planning, business development, marketing, physician recruitment and retention and media relations. “It’s a great honor to be selected as part of the Wilshire leadership team. Wilshire’s mission and vision are directly aligned with my personal values,” Yukelson said. “Beyond home health and hospice, there is a great deal of depth to the Wilshire organization, providing free and subsidized services to our community in time of emotional and physical need. I’m looking forward to leveraging my unique skills and community relationships to help make our impact to the community even greater.” As a pillar here on the Central Coast, he and his wife continue to be active members of the community, serving as board members and volunteers at several agencies within San Luis Obispo County.

Prior to coming to San Luis Obispo, Ron was the Director of Business Development & Strategic Planning at St. Vincent Medical Center and held similar positions at Century City and Midway Hospitals, Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He started his career as a sports writer and covered professional and collegiate sports including the Angels and the Lakers. He also spent five years as the publicist for the Cal State Northridge Athletic Department, where he was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
